I just got my truck back after the injectors were replaced. The truck runs good, but after looking at the list of replaced parts, they didn't chage the oil or replace the oil filter. And one of my list of complaints was that there was diesel in the oil, and the oil level was rising. Does this set off warning lights  or am I just expecting too much?

I would inquire the dealer. If fuel is in the oil and no oil change was done.. I would be miffed.

After I had my fuel injectors replaced (a 10 day fiasco at the dealer ship) with oil change and filter, I kept a close eye on the oil level and watched for signs of anti freeze for 6000 miles. When I arrived home 6000 miles latter I had an oil analysis performed (didnt trust the tech.) any way all was OK.
Anti freeze will solidify on the bearing surfaces, then your really screwed.
good luck

I had my injectors replaced and because it was do for a oil change anyway I had it changed. I did pay for the oil change but I did get a $20 discount. I was told that some antifreeze will get into the oil during the injector replacement.

They changed my oil, but charged me for it. The service manager then told me to change it again in 500 miles to ensure all of the diesel fuel was out of it. They did a good job on my injector replacement. No issues.

I called Chevrolet Customer Service, and was told that the TSB did not indicate changing the oil. The person I spoke to listened to my concerns of having the diesel fuel in the oil, spoke to her supervisor, and then came back with an authorization for me to have the dealer change the oil.

Our dealership policy is to perform an oil change anytime any part of any engine has been opened up. Injectors=LOF. V/C gaskets=LOF. Intake re-seal=LOF. It is a CYA move that also makes the customer happy. It is done at no charge, unless we have to use synthetic.
