I have always read on this form that Racor was the single, only, manufacturer of our fuel filter. I read that all fuel filters are made by Racor and also sold under other lables.

If you check for vehicle and related recalls you will see that the Fram G3727 fuel filters, manufactured in Mexico by Honeywell, from 10/18/05 to 3-21-06 are faulty and on recall.

I just want to know if our fuel filters are made by numerous manufacturers and how are we to know which ones meet the required specs. I just bought a case of filters from Baldwin. Who made them and are they OK?

I have Baldwin white filters that are made in the USA, and Baldwin gold colored filters that are made in China.

The Dmaxs were all validated with Racor filters and all Dmaxs come with Racor filters; Racor is owned by Parker Hannifin, but I haven't heard of them being sold under different names. I would stick with the Racor dual pleat filters, other filters might work better, they may work worse, but uncertainty is no fun.

racor makes the original delco filter.only the fram and the baldwin are made outside the u.s. by some other company.many oem filters are made by racor,oil and fuel.motorcraft are made by racor,napa gold=racor,just buy a racor pff5544,i think thats the number.

Wix does make napa filters. Wix is owned by affina. The same company that owns Dana, Spicer, and raybestos to name a few.

i could learn another lesson here,i thought racor makes wix too.
