: FSD resistor value.

After having gone through the upper end of the motor with new heads, marine injectors and a new FSD w/HeatSync, I note a prolonged duration of the white smoke and then blue smoke. It clears up after about 40 seconds as the temps come up in the CC. This is in ~36* temps with the block heater plugged in. The FSD has the #9 resistor installed as well.

The question is this.... With the Marine injectors AND the #9 resistor installed, I beleive that I should remove the #9 resistor and install the #5, or lower. I think this would help a bit on the startup smoke. Once the temps come up, the truck runs awsume... After sitting at work for the day, just a bit of smoke in the parking lot as I startup. Think of a small forest fire...

Will make negligible difference in smoke quantity, check the glow system, if you are running quick heat or 60G plugs, consider extended glow mod, to keep glow on longer

After my IP install, I didn't get all my glow circuit put back together. It would start and smoke like a four alarm fire, but it would run. May want to double checky connections?
