Finally picked up my NEW HORIZONS 'MotoMover' in Junction City Kansas and started home on Sept. 28th. We weighed in at 24380 GCWR and the 'ol Duramax/Allison never wavered, even over Vail Summit in Colorado. Unfortunately we got to do it backwards too as 3 days out, I got hit by a Cement Truck coming in to Grand Junction, CO. that tore all the sewer plumbing and siding off back to the front tandem axle. DAMN!! So, headed back the 3 days to Kansas for repairs....left again 4 days later. Snowing over the Rockies now, so I headed into Wyoming and I-80 and came West through Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, to California.
The performance of my new HD3500 Dura/Allison was phenominal! Ya'll didn't lie when you said I'd be impressed!
The prodigy works great....the 'Tow/Haul' mode is very impressive.
Mielage varied from 7.8mpg into a 40mph direct headwind, to 11.8-12.3 across Utah/Nevada in normal conditions.
Helluva truck for sure.
A Bona-Fide Duramax Fan I am!
