I have a 2006 Silverado ExCab LT2 with the Bose single CD player, steering wheel controls, no OnStar. Bought 4 Michelin Tires and got a XM Xpress for free so now I want to install it in my LBZ.
Where is the best place to place the magnetic antenna? I was thinking by the rear high mounted stop light then fish the small wire into the stop light opening....i heard of it done this way before.
Also what is the best way to hook it up to my radio? It came with this sure connect thing that i have to place around my radio antenna but i really dont like it this way, and it doesnt come in very clear.
I seen a PIE adaptor that says it will work, but it does not supply the power so where can I tap that from? Id like for it to stay on with the radio once the truck is shut off.
I was thinking about mounting it with the swivel stand right by the airbag switch with double stick tape. Any ideas on other locations would be great.
