Recently installed this setup to get Sirius on my factory radio but now my OnStar doesn't work. Only tried it once, but when I did I tried to use the phone button on my steering wheel. The radio switched to PHONE on the display and stayed there! Even when I shut the truck off, pulled the key, opened the door and then restarted, the radio displayed PHONE and I couldn't get out of that mode. After the truck had been off awhile (went shopping for about half hour) did the system come back. I haven't tried it since. Anyone else have this problem?

I had the same problem with my Onstar system using the XM factory raido.

Got some email going with Soundgate. They said to check the ground. When I asked what that had to do with OnStar, here's what they say:

To test for resistance to ground you need to test from the batt neg. post to
your ground location should be less than .5 ohm of resitance as for how this
effects the onstar everything in the class 2 bus references the digital code
to ground if one thing on the loop has a problem it can cause other
functions to respond wrong. Normally the steel braces running along the dash
in the gm vehicles are ruber isolated on the ends and not a very good ground
If you test and find a good ground and you still have this problem i would
replace the KNGM1 but i have not ever seen this exact problem before.

Were you able to use the factory XM antenna?
