danb303 10-31-2007, 09:38 AM I installed a KN cold air kit on my truck and the first time I pulled my Nova to the track it set a Mass air sensor code. Is this typical? Is there anything I can do to make it better? It only sets the code when it is in a pretty good pull like getting on the interstate on-ramp DEWFPO 11-01-2007, 01:20 PM Sounds like the air filter oil fouling the hot wire sensor. Common. Like others have said, don't touch it, just used a good electrical parts cleaner that leaves no residue. You can wash your K&N and re-oil it lightly so it doesn't keep happening.
