I am new to the forum and also recently purchased my first diesel truck. I want to switch all of my lubricants to Amsoil synthetic fluids. I was just wondering if you guys would recommend doing this? And are there any reasons why I should not switch over? Thanks in Advance. Bob

I switch my egine oil to rotella synthetic every winter, seems to work well. Greatly improves cold starts

I use Amsoil in all my trucks(7) and one motercycle. I 've been using it for ten years in every part that needs lubrication, no problems I'd never switch back to dino.

Cost would be the major factor. Also longer change intervals would be a consideration. ALL fluids in my truck are synthetic. I run 5W40 in the colder months. Then back to mineral oil, for the warmer months.

Amsoil in rear end changed after 500 miles. 9500 miles now. Truck w/edge. I never felt a problem in my rear end, except the pucker factor.
