I'm thinking about picking up a 02 CC D/A Chevrolet with 25000 miles on it. I drive about 30000 miles a year and do not want to keep swapping trucks every 4 or 5 years.
My question is how many miles do you think i could expect out of one of these trucks without any major problems. Part of my reason for wanting one is i'm thinking that they will have much more longevity than my current half ton gasser.
What do ya all think?

First, welcome to the "place"
Second, I know first hand of trucks with 300k+ on the ticker. Proper maint is the key to longevity. There is the injector issue, but your covered to 200k on that so that will help lessen the concern.

Bought my 02 in June of 03 with 24k on it now have 64k on it .. Only problem I have had is a neutral saftey switch that got moisture in it .. Change fluids and filters and drive it till it drops//Or u do//Best ride I've ever had//I do a lot of mountain driving towing a 21' boat like it isn't even there//

As long as the truck is properly maintained, you should have no real problems.

Welcome, this board is full of more knowledge than you can absorb.
I to had a 1/2ton gasser and went to the 2500HD D/A. My truck has had injector issues and a couple other small things, but has NEVER left me stranded.
My biggest problem with the D/A is when I found this site, all I want is to make this thing bigger, faster, meaner. It isn't even broke and I Gotta make it better!

bought our '02 3500 D/A in Oct. of '01 ... currently have 79,000+ miles on it and have yet to have it in the shop for an engine/transmission issue (not even a computer reflash) ... truck prior to this one was a '78 Jeep J-10 that I kept until Jan. '02 (over 250,000 miles) ... hope this truck last longer than the Jeep!
