I have heard that the 06 GMC has a better cool air intake than the stock 05 does. As the 05 pulls air in from engine compartment. Anyone know how easy and what the cost is of changing that to the GM 06 intake to replace the 05 GM intake and will I see lower EGT's.

It's my understanding that the 06 filter element is considerably more expensive that the filters in our trucks. Cheapest and very effective way for cool air is Cool My Duramax's CAI kit.

my friend is putting his stock intake off his 06 lbz and putting it onto his brothers 04 lly. the size differance is huge. dont know about lower egt's?
