I Installed A Mag. System On My 02'. I Ordered The Same Part # As A Friend Of Mine But Mine Is About 3 Times Louder. In The Instructions There Is No Way You Can Install The Muffler Backwards, But I Checked My Friends And The Stamping On His Muffler Case, Reads From Rear To Front And Mine Reads From Front To Back. Is There A Possibility They Flanged The Wrong End Of The Muffler In The Factory. My Next Thing Is To Remove My Friends And Put It On Mine And See. Just Thought Maybe Someone Could Shed Some Light On This For Me. It Really Sounds Like The Muffler Is On Backwards.

If you look down the inside of the Magnaflow muffler, I believe the louvers are supposed to face rearward. If somebody knows for sure please correct me.

mine would only connect one way. And is it a bad thing that it's louder?

Their muffler won't make any difference which way you install it, it's a perforated muffler and the result sound wise is the same either way. The length of their muffler is the main reason it's so loud, if I remember correct it's on 18 inches long overall, as opposed to say our MBRP muffler that's 30 inches overall long.
