I'm really set on a cognito kit but well this truck seems to be a pretty decent price for the amount of extras/miles.

I know you have to cut the rear diff ear off on the fabtech lift, will I still be able to install the cognito down the road? That's something I can weld back on? I've done a lot of welding but never installed a lift before...

The shop that built the truck was closed today so I didn't get to talk to them. The salesman didn't know what kind of lift it was but judging by how far out those tires are I'd say fabtech also.

I've read the thread about the lift so I may just keep looking.

You have to cut that part off with every lift kit I have seen over 3", including the Cognito Kit. Cognito does have a bracket that bolts in place of the piece that was cut off if you ever had the desire to return it to stock. Unless you want to go higher, I wouldn't think that you need to change that lift. It looks good, and it seems that most on this site are happy with their lifts no matter who made it. I seems like the shocks are the big factors on how the lift performs. That truck looks nice!

Those are always a PITA. :D Also the rear differential belt looks bad too. I believe there is a DO IT YOUSELF thread on how to change to keep costs down!!!;)

but the voltmeter is at 14 volts. Mine doesn't show 14 unless the motor is running ;)

Phillips is about 5 miles S of where I work... would you like me to swing by there one evening??? Oh BTW they just built a new dealership so they tend to be a bit pricey.

No but I appreciate the offer a lot. I called them and they didn't really know anything about the truck. I told the guy it was probably a fabtech lift and he finalyl got under it and said it was. I made him an offer and he didn't want to talk about anything less than they were asking so I said no thanks. Nice truck but they have no clue whats been done to it and won't budge on the price.

I ran the service record and it's been in the shop a couple times but nothing in the last 15k miles. Being a dmax owner already I don't know what to think about that ;)

i would seriously consider pulling the lug nuts off and dipping them into to honey before you plan on driving it off the lot.
