Before I put in high output fuel injectors should I buy heath's HD fuel lift pump?

Do the "Feed the Beast" mods to optomize the fuel SUPPLY. The fuel has to be available in volume & pressure to feed the IP. Stock does not!!!

Whats the condition of your stock LP? Having the HO injectors won't mean much if you got no fuel to them. Then again, if you have a good LP and junk inj's, its no good either.

HO injectors will not offer any performance increase. Our injections pumps are positive displacement, the hole could be the size of a garbage can and no more fuel would drip out.

Some argue the standard injectors could retard the timing at max RPM with reflashed/chipped ECMs, I don't buy this either.

The only performance increase you'll notice is the simple fact you have new injectors.

Sorry, don't mean to hijack but someone (can't remember who) was trying to call the vendors on their claims a while back and I figured I would breath new life to his protest.

Would the guys selling HO injectors and making HP claims please step up with some kind of a rebuttal to this.

I'm not trying to be an ass but I too am trying to make a decision on an injector upgrade and would like some fact on this matter.

The stock injectors will flow more than the engine can burn.

And this is true with external mods and a chip as well???

The injectors are capable of injecting more fuel than the engine can burn. You just need a pump to do the job. The DS pump is limited in it's capacity.

Thank you.

x2-
Some things related to engine tuning are like alchemy, and the discussion of "high performance" injectors is one of them. There seems to be a little magic needed to backup the claims of more power. Historically, the most information I have read on the subject is from DP members, many of whom posit that HO/Marine/HP(op) injectors cannot result in more fuel and thus no increase in power on their own (benefit of "new" injectors vs. old notwithstanding). I have not seen a compelling argument made by vendors who claim otherwise. I second bgittens' request, and I am in the market for injectors too.
