My burb was byting bad a month or so ago so I replaced the oil filter. It continued so I remounted a new pmd that came w/ my rebuilt IP behind the bumper. It was fine for about a month and now it is byting again. I guess the next step is to check the snot sock in the tank.

I was thinking.....Is there any way to fix the filter sock so that I can access it without having to remove the tank in the future?

Another thought....may this should be a different thread but I'll ask it here. Can a gasser tank be used as a diesel tank? The reason I ask this is I had a 97 burb w/ a 50 gallon tank. Just wondering if it will work.

Thanks,

the gasser tank should be fine as long as you can use the diesel sending unit. Check how deep the gasser sending unit reaches. Make sure the diesel sending unit goes to the same depth...otherwise you won't be able to make use of the added fuel that you're carrying around.

You can eliminate the sock if you add an in-line filter before the lift pump.

Keep in mind one of the jobs of the sock is to not allow air to enter the fuel system via foam.

I would for sure check the Filter Harness. I had issues and the GMCTD got me going. I think the thread was "Hard Start then Clatter"
