I recently put on the winter front covers (upper and lower) and now my mirror temp reading is off. Where exactly is this sensor located at and how do you get a more accurate outside temp reading? Any ideas?

Hey Ben,
It's behind the grill. I think on the drivers side? Check out www.kennedydiesel.com ...Johns got a pic of it in the "Tech Tips" section, and a desciption of where he moved it.

Do a search on "Rear View Mirror Temp Sensor" you will find some pictures that I posted on this subject. I have since relocated my sensor to the same location that "Idle Chatter" has. This is a very easy relocate project.

The armored sensor cable originated below the driver's headlight and ran across the lower radiator support up to the sensor mounted on a bracket halfway up and on the driver's side of the center support under the grill.

Seems like an easy project. Hopefully it will be an easy project!
