So I got my EFILive today and found out I still have to pull the radio and TBC1 fuse to get a communication, then to install a tune I had to uncheck the fast speed com button  oh well, all I can say is what a sweet product. :D

oh and I got a strange trouble code after clearing the stored ones, it was something to do with the HVAC recirculate control circuit, anyone else ever get that?

Yep. What year's your truck? My 04 was getting that. Your HVAC module probably needs an update.

I rigged a toggle switch to kill the fuse rather than pulling it every time. Still have to re-set the stereo presets, but not as aggravating as pulling the fuse every time.

Alpine and Clarion are fine. Pioneer still needs fuses pulled in my experiences.

I have a Clarion and still have to kill the fuse, It could be the Sirius tuner though and not the head unit.

I have a kenwood deck that I just shut off while d/ling. I don't pull any fuses. Parking brake goes on and I make sure I don't f with anything while it is working. No problems after probably 100 d/l's.

It may not be the head unit, I think its the Sirius tuner.

Its got to be either my Pioneer deck or amp with the stereo prob, and the other fuse i'm not sure what is on that circuit that is causing probs. I'm pretty sure it is something I installed or it could be the onstar which I just had updated to the digital version. The toggle switch idea is a good one cause it does get old pulling out the fuses, but atleast I only have to pull 2 now instead of 4 like when I had my bullydog stuff.

No matter what I do though with the HVAC controls off I always hear a lil fan running when the key is on, and I think that may be on that TBC1 circuit that gives me trouble. That may also be when I got an HVAC recirculator control circuit code when I check all the codes too

Aftermarket radios and iPod adaptors are a known source of issue. Early on we contacted a number of manufactures who advised that they don't adhere to any silence commands and have no plans on doing so anytime soon.

All factory fitted equipment do listen to silence commands and should never cause the user any problems.

With HVAC make sure the tune your installing is made for your truck - ie you modified the stock tune from your truck. Do not load a tune from another source. If your using a tune off this site (even with the same OS) you will get problems if the segment numbers are different.

Funny thing about the update. Paul was compiling it, and in the process of uploading it for download............problem was as he started the upload, it was time to leave for the USA. After he made the Taxi wait 20 minutes while the upload was in process something went wrong and he didn't have time to fix it.......I guess it was just one of those things. It's ready to go for when we return - sometime around Nov 12th.

Not in this update. It's a Bi-directional control that Paul needs to implement. By the amount of people who have called by our booth at SEMA and asked, he's starting to get the idea it needs to be a high priority.

My Kenwood deck talks like crazy when I try to re-flash. It used to be only when I flash my Allison but now it is talking when I flash the ECM.
