Just installed my transgo jr and had a few problems.

1. Torque wrench was calibrated wrong and snapped off one of the valve body bolt. Came out easy but now have one missing. I used the bolt to hold it it from a location closest to another bolt (Just to get home cause my buddies wife was yelling already). Figured next day go to dealer and replace all bolts and buy new hig priced torque wrench.

2. Installed deep pan at same time, filled with 12 qts as recommended by people on board. pas hold 3.5 more than stock and stock was around 7 I was told though.

3. turned on engine and the shifts were louder than normal. I let it idle a few seconds and checked the fluid level and it was all the way at the bottom of the dip stick so I added one quart and it went up a little then added another and it went up a little more added one more and it was lower cold level.

4. Code p0972 shift solinoid a comes up pretty much right away and if I try to shift it the computer says shift range limited.

So with all these problems I dont know where to start. Did I not install the transgo right? did the one missing bolt cause this? did over torqing the bolts do this. was it not filled enough that did it.................... HHHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPP PPPP

Sounds like you criss crossed the trim solenoids.

Wouldnt that throw two codes if I switched the black connector solenoid with the green connector solenoid? they aren't compatible I'm guessing? from the pictures the black is A and the green is B (engine light was for A)? I thought maybe I didnt press the connection in completely. Also I thought I might of put too much jelly in the shim to hold the bearring and spring. ugh too many ideas running through my head.

Ok so the solenoid directly above the A solenoid with a tiny white clip wasnt fully connected. I got some spare valve body bolts from the dealers transmission guy off an older ally. Differnt head but same shoulder, length and thread pitch. All in all its running great but wow it took like 16 qts and its still a tad low but waiting for a longer drive befor topping off.
