Do you know if the old C/K tailgate straps would fit on the new trucks. I know the older models had stamped steel straps instead of cables. I was wondering if they would fit and if they can still be had.Edited by: hoot

They can be had, but the parts catalogue lists straps for 01-04. Dunno the difference, havent looked that close.

I might be able to test that in a day or so. My Dad has a 1990 K2500.
