I moved my PMD to the firewall some time ago, extended the harness myself. Everyonce in a while the truck will cough and kick, if I shake the harness I made, it dies instantly (hence a bad solder somewhere). All I did was cut the original and add more wire inbetween, this time, Im going to de-pin the connectors, and solder new wires directly on to them.. HOWEVER, the two wires (red and black) that go to the "tip" of the injection pump (under a black boot) how do they come off the pump?? I can reach in and get the boot off, but I cant figure out how the wires come off the pump. If anyone knows how to do it, or has pictures, that would help a lot.
Thanks!

I replaced this harness as SSdiesel told me its a common culprit of stalling, this was after finding out it was their SSHeatsync that didn't save a brand new PMD still mounted on top of the intake.
There are 2 wires, pos + grd I think, that have a really small hex nut on each if I remember. They are on the backside (can't see them from the front of truck) move the boot, get right in there with a mirror if you have to

You can reach there without taking intake off?? I have new cable but though the intake needs to be off that I can reach to those screws...?!

Most defanately need to take the intake off. Remember to get a new gasket. Not hard to take it off. OPS will never be easier to replace now as well...

Hi Matt,
Yep, it took a bit over 4 hours to change new harness :) And I had new gaskets. There were 1/4" nuts holding wires in "connection screw" what had to be held with 1/4" key. IMO, without taking intake off it's impossible. Reason for change is my "misfire" search... wires and connections were clean. I need to go for a test drive...
