I was told I need pin bushing on the left front of my 4x Suburban. It is different from Leaf spring bushings. I think it is just a tapered bolt or sum such. Anyone know where I can get one and the proper name or better yet a part number. Lawrence Rhodes...

Need a better description to help you out. Where is this part located?

The pin bushing is what holds the axle centered on the spring. If that isn't right the vehicle can dogwalk. It's the only way of aligning the axles. Lawrence Rhodes

wait are you talking about the bolt that goes through the leaf spring pack and holds all the leafs together? if thats what your talking about its just a grade 8 bolt that you can get at a hardware store.

No it's not. The spring "centerbolt" has a round head that is the exact diameter of the hole in axle's spring-perch. It's usually pretty long also and almost fully fine threaded - and you're not going to find it in a hardware store. It's a generic suspension part and you can get it at just about any auto-parts store and cut it down to the length you need.

i couldnt find any a few weeks ago when i had to replace them in my 87 4runner, not even the dealership had them. the techs at the dealership told me to just use a grade 8 bolt there.

There's not much to adjust on a 4WD solid-front axle Suburban.
There are custom angled wedges that can be installed to change castor-angle. That is sometimes needed in trucks that do a lot of snowplowing and the front-axle twists the springs a bit and the pinion starts pointing towards the ground too much.
Then there are some custom adjustable ball-joints that are rarely needed.
If your Burb is dog-tracking, and you're needing a left-spring "centerbolt", it's cheap and easy to get. Any good auto-parts store should have generic center-bolts in stock. The center-bolt is used to assemble and join the leaf-spring package together. It has a round head that matches the round hole in the front-axle's spring perches. The bolt has to be long and almost fully fine-threaded. That because when a leaf spring assembly - is apart - the leafs "spring" and it takes a long bolt to pass through all of them. You then tighten it until they all come together - and cut off the excess.
If you ARE fixing the center-bolt - unless there is no rust - you are way ahead to torch the big u-bolts off along with the centerbolt. A good parts store will custom bend new u-bolts in ten minutes and a complete set of four costs around $30. I've had many made.
A new, generic 3/8" or 7/16" X 10" centerbolt at my local store costs around $2. On-line, it is sure to be more - like at:

If any "tech" told you that - he or she is certainly not a tech and doesn't know his/her ass from a hole in the ground.

It is the "remove and replace" mentality with new shops and new parts-changers that call themselves "techs." A good shop would know how to replace one leaf, or add one without buying a whole new assembly. I've done hundreds in my life. To replace one leaf, you have to get a new center-bolt. My local parts store sells leaf stock, bends u-bolts, and has boxes full of generic center-bolts.
