Ive got a buddy with a 2001 Dodge w/ the24V Cummins motor, he is looking for a chip or programmer for it but didnt know what was the best one for his motor. So I told him I would ask some of you guys what your running/or reccomend. I dont know jack about Dodges ):h so maybe you guys can help.

Edge comp box

Edge Box add quite a bit of power?

Edge Drag Comp
140 RWHP, and no defuel over 2700 RPMs. Std Comp defuels at 2700 and is 120 rwhp
Or a Marco special ECM CaTCHer
Is the 2001 an ETC ot ETH?

I have no idea right off hand, but I do know is that strait piped that truck is the loudest Ive ever heard.

ETC=24V +5 speed manual or automatic
ETH =24V +6 speed manual.

RV 275 or 370M injectors work well too. although EDM Mach 2.4's will wake up the beast pretty good, don't smoke as bad ... lower EGT's than the 370's but you will need an HX40 or USB or Dodgezilla turbo to keep EGT's in check.

Blue chip Fuelling box works really good too ( http://www.bluechipdiesel.com/dodgepricelist.html ), as does the TST
VanAaken made a few mild boxes as well, but beware of buying a used one as the MAP connections are slightly different on the 98.5-00 trucks to the 00.5-2002 trucks

By the way, do you know anything about the fuel shutoff solonoid on the 96 12 valve? One of the guys has a torn boot on his and wants to just replace the boot. The solonoid is still working great. We just replaced one on another friends truck because the boot was so wasted it got tangled up in the return spring and caused it to stay in the off position. Got any ideas on where to find just the boot or maybe a kit? Thanks. Betty.

Well..... I used to have really good control,,, but remember I told you I have testosterone poisoning?!!!! Ever since I started hanging out with you "Diesel Dudes":o not only have I become completely addicted but I have totally lost control and I know that if I install the "Mega Mental" injectors I will have to go test them. and testing them means that 15.65 will turn into 14.75 and I will want more, and not only will I need to get some traction bars but I will need Slicks and Propane and Snow and why stop there because I could really make the big power if I only had TWINS.:confused::o:o. Sound familiar? I'll bet you've heard that before. Next thing you know I will need one of those sleaves to put over the drive shaft so when it brakes it won't go through the floor of my truck:eek:. Can you picture a 50 year old women jumping out of her truck to see what broke underneath it?? This would really not be cool.:cool: I mean really really not cool. Sooooooo..... I bet you I will eventually put some kind of aftermarket injector in my baby. I just need to take it one step at a time. Don't give up on me. And don't get too disappointed. I need to take the torque that I already have and make sure I can get it all to the ground instead of spinning tires. Then we can talk more about injectors. ;)Yipeeeee!

I can't tell you how meny times I have used the Edge Number to punctuate the day. Works quite well too I must say. And speaking of punctuation! My really really LOUD firetruck horn, ( no kidding, it is from an old firetruck), punctuates very nicely to express my avid annoyance with the jerk that just has to get ahead of me. :cool: And yes, Lord help the poor soul that crosses the PMS trail.:eek: So you see where I am going with this injector thing and the power enhancements and so forth. It's great to go out to the race track and blow the doors of some poor DUDE that just dropped his life savings for a HEMI, but as a prictical matter it needs to be a functional on a day to day level. :)
