I've narrowed it down to Retrax, Full Metal Jackrabbit, and Pace Edwards Roll Top. My friend has the Retrax and I like it. It does leak a little in a downpour, but not much. I like the Full Metal Jackrabbit the most but that's only from reading about it on the internet, I've never actually seen one in person. I don't know much at all about the Pace Edwards. Does anyone here have any of these three and can comment on pros/cons? Also, could you tell me where to find the best prices on them as well? Thank you very much.

I have the retrax (had it installed at their factory...) and they do make a "wide" kit that covers the stake pocket holes.
My vote is for the retrax...good stuff.
I purchased my Retrax through Max Power, a DP vendor, and couldn't be happier. No leaks at all, stake pockets are covered, and this thing looks awesome.

I don't getthe big deal about covered stake pockets. Seems like it would be
better to have them uncovered (from the functional point of view) so
they can be used for other purposes-like for tie down caps or attaching
a rack.

The biggest thing about the covered stake pockets is keeping the bed somewhat waterproof... That, and some prefer the sleeker look of having them covered.
I had the Pace Edwards on my 2000 Chev gasser. I used some retractable tie downs that keep the bed sealed, had a sleek look, and still maintained practicality of having the hooks available when needed...
I didn't mind the Pace Edwards top - it was a little flimsy for my liking, but other than that I never had any issues with it.

Another vote for the retrax from Max Power. For me it just as much about the service after the sale, Max Power is hands down one of the finest persons to deal with.
Insofar as the covered stake bed holes, it's really a matter of preference. I don't need the access to them, so I went with the wide rails. But if you do, then you do, and thats ok.
If any of you guys are considering a backflip dont do it mine is not even a year old and weatherstripping is falling off it. I have used glue a few times on it now. Other than that I like the functionality of it allot. It does a good job of keeping water out when it is in one piece.

Another vote for the Retrax...looked and worked great on my last truck.

I had the Pace on my last truck and now have the Retrax. I would never go back to the pace
the only reason I did not go with the retrax or alike is I did not want the housing buldge in the front. Would make a tight fit with my 4 wheeler in the bed. Other than that would have been nice.

I got the chevy OEM one (19171111). Looks good and works good. The only criticism is that the Chevy bowtie logo is (sewed?) on the underside of the cover. All you see from the outside is a faint black outline. When you roll it up (part way) the bowtie (white) is reveled. Seems like Chevy would "want" their logo really visible from the outside. Perhaps mine was sewed on backwards? Hard to tell where it was manufactured. Fit/finish and quality is excellent, and doesn't flap in the wind too much. Curious if anyone else has noticed this with the factory cover?

I have the retrax and love it. I installed it myself in about an hour. I have the long bed and it does take up about a foot by the cab. It doesn't leak like my peragon cover.
