This may be getting picky, but does anyone know if there is a different insert for where our cup holders are on the newer trucks? I'd like to have one on "my side" instead of two on the passenger side. Just a little thing, but it bugs me. Thanks for any info. Tim

My 03 has two in the middle, which truck has two on the passenger side?

The 05 LT/SLT with console has a ash tray in the place for a cup holder on the driver`s side. Take out the ash tray and it still is`nt a very good cup holder though. Wasn`t a very bright idea.

The cup holders on the 03 do suck. They on the front of the center seat. The guy in the middle legs rest right on them. It is one dumb ass design.

I was refering to the trucks with the center console. Just wondering if that insert piece comes in any other layouts that might put a cup holder closer to the driver. Thanks guys, Tim

My trucks the same way. I really hate also. Wished there was a way to put one on each side.

You MIGHT be able to get your hands on the Pro series cup holders. I think it's what you're looking for. Side by side cup holders towards the front, with a storage compartment behind it. It's also heated/cooled. I DO NOT have a part number, just saw it while looking through the Helms manual. Would definitely solve your problem, but it might be a little pricey...

Not sure if it is possible, but try turning the cup insert around, putting both cups on your side.

BassinRVer, I don't have a digital cam to post a photo, sorry, but what they've done is put two holders on the passenger side, one in front of the other. On the drivers side they gave me an ash tray and a little open storage area. I know the ash tray pops out, but this set up makes no sense to me.Tysmith, thanks for the tip, I'll see if I can find anything on that. Tim

gardnerteam, They made the insert taller towards the back, so I can't do a 180* with the insert. Thanks for the idea though. I know this is such a minor thing, but for some reason it bugs me every time I use the truck, and I've had it for over a year.:mad: :)
