I've done a brief search w/o results. Last Thursday, 10/18 I was coming back in to town. My truck's performance took a nose dive, lost power and developed a horrible rattle in the area of the starboard side, mid-head. I called the dealer and he said shut it down and have it towed to the Service Center. I did that. I got a call from the Service Writer on Friday and he said an injector took a crap and all eight would be replaced under warranty. Is this common? 40,000 miles on the truck purchased in June 2006. Until now the truck has performed flawlessly.

NO good, at least your getting all new injectors. That isnt common among the lbzs at all just a fluke deal I guess.

The dealership had the truck from Oct 19 - Dec 17.......too many screwed up instances to name them all. They ended up replacing the no. 7 cylinder/rod/brgs & crank. The turbo is now giving me difficulties and the dealership now says in order to repair the turo it must be removed and sent to GM for a replacement. This warranty work has cost $107.25 and they supplied a rental truck. I've since filed the Defective Vehicle Notification and notified the Better Business Bureau. By the second week I told the dealership it seemed like it would be less expensive on GM to replace the entire motor. Has anyone else experienced such a SNAFU with GM and the Durmax power unit as this?? I'm a few days away from telling them to buy the truck back........unfortunately, there are few choices on the market that meet my needs in a tow vehicle.
