Shortly after starting up for the first time today and a short trip to town I got this:

P0181 - Fuel Temperature Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance

Dmax was plugged in all night (down to 2 degrees) and when I first started it, outside temp was 30 degrees. We've had these temps. before, but first time for this code (if it is related at all).

What is this telling me, please & thanks. :confused:

According to the SI manual, this can be set by using the block heater or winter cover above 0 degrees F.

The bottom line is the ECM is doing a sanity check of the temp sensor based on other sensors and it doesn't jive. Take 3 good self tests to clear on its own.

Thanks Fingers for the reply & info. Seems to fit perfectly, as it was above 30 degrees and I did have both the block heater & winter cover on.
