Has any used AMSOIL's Diesel additive ? I have been running on Stanadyne for a year now and happy with it.

I run it. I believe it's doing the job. When I started, I also has some injector work done at the same time, so not sure if I can contribute my fuel mileage gain(2-3mpg) on the work or the additive or just a comination of both.

It's essentially the same product, just with a different label. Buy whatever's cheaper or easier to get.

here's the CAS info for the petroleum distillate listed as the main ingredients in the AMSOIL -

http://environmentalchemistry.com/yogi/chemicals/cn/Light%A0aromatic%A0naphtha.html

CAS (http://environmentalchemistry.com/yogi/chemistry/dictionary/C01.html#CAS) Number: 68477-31-6
Synonyms/Related:
Aliphatic petroleum distillates
Aromatic naphtha
Aromatic Naphtha, Type I
Aromatic Petroleum Derivative Solvent
Aromatic petroleum solvent
Light aromatic naphtha
Petroleum solvent

If you check out an MSDS for the stanadyne, you'll find the same ingredients listed.According to the amsoil MSDS, the product's function is as a flow improver, which squares with the ingredients listed - ( petroleum and solvents )

Too bad they increase hydrocarbon emissions when they combust..kind of goes against the idea of fuel system cleanliness and reduced emissions.
