2007 Classic LBZ-

Astrostart 2205 and a GM ION adapter (installed by a local shop).

Okay, here's what I'm curious about.

When I engage the remote start, teh park lights come on when the vehicle starts. At night, when I press unlock (with the vehicle running) the low beams flash.

If the vehicle isn't running, the DRL's flash (even at night)

So, here's the problem. Have HID's in the low beams. How the heck do I change what flashes?

I was going to try the auto light disable, but that's not causing me a problem....

Seems to be something in the Astrostart. Anyone know how to change what it does?

Thanks in advance.

If you look at the schematic you will see where they spliced into the low beams for flash, you can find that wire and move it. Should really be that simple.

It's an astrostart, so Ii don' thave the schematic, cause getting those instructions is impossible on the internet. Seems they're the only company that can keep their install sheets protected better than biological weapons.

It only flashes the headlights when the truck is runnin on remote... Otherwise it flashes the park lights.... Argh... Frustrating as heck when you cant find the actual instruction on something.

FIXED IT-- Okay, here's what was happenin- The interface for the Astro (GM ION) was sending the unlock signal to the truck.. The truck then flashed the lights as if it were the regular keyless entry requesting it (just flashed the park lamps). How ever-- There was a "parking lamp" circuit set up from the Astrostart itself... It was hooked to plug J3-B2 on the TBC (controller under the steering column)... and it was signaling for the parking lights to come on, as if I was turning the actual light switch... When it was turning the park lights on, no problem...but during that little gap of "no signal" and "dark outside" it wasn't overriding the "auto lamp" request in the TBC, hence with the flashin of the HID's...

So, to fix it, the park lamp request circuit from the Astrostart itself is now hardwired to the DRL lamps on the TBC instead of the park lamps...

Then, part 2, I installed the ELK-960 time delay relay, set for 30 seconds and set up like DuratotheMax has his in the "Autoheadlamp thread" so it defaults to the lights working, but disables them for the first 30 seconds after the key comes on. So there ya go......
Then, when it's dark...after runnin for 30 seconds... my headlamps come on as advertised. When I press unlock, or lock, the DRL bulbs flash!
