Folks,
I have EFILive for my 06 LLY van. It does not have a lot of tables. It seems that HPtuners have over 500 LBZ tables.
For those people who have worked with both products. What LBZ tables does HP Tuners have that EFILive does not have???
Also, Does HP Tuners have the following?
1. High Idle Feature - Allows me to program a high idle RPM
2. MPG PID - Allows me to read Instataneous Miles per Gallon as well as Average Miles per gallon, like the DIC function in Trucks.
3. Torque Output PID - Allows me to track instantaneous torque output.
4. Turbo timer - Allows truck to idle a few minutes after shutting down to cool down the turbo. (In my case, I want to use it as a WVO purge feature.)
After using EFILive for a few months, I am beginning to see its limitations. It does not have the features that are really useful for tuning for WVO use - which is the primary reason I bought EFILive.

1.Idle parameters

2. There is no PID for this in the pcm, it would need to be created by the user.
3. there might be a tq output pid but its accuracy would be questionable at best.
4. I believe its outside the bounds of the stock pcm's capabilities.

He was asking for HIGH idle parameters I beleive... below X temp, auto high idle will engage.
turbo timer can not be done with a stock ECM, as foff said. Its not something that even exists in the ECM code.

But it should. :)

Asking if EFILive/HPT can program a turbo timer into the ECM is like asking if you can make your VCR grill a hamburger. :D
It would require a completly custom operating system with lots of code written by hand, if its even possible at all.

You know my 2 year tried on time. :D But serious it would be nice if the could from the factory.
