A update .

My truck is running SOOOO good I cannot believe it. It so needed them injectors and Fuel Rail Pressure Control Valve it wasn't funny. The inconsistencies and poor running that I tolerated for so long that now that they are gone I'm confused.I have to turn off my accessories and heater just to make sure she's running,no joke!I actually think my MPG is up too according to trip OD and fuel gauge!I don't always step hard.

The Idle is so quiet and smooth it's unbelievable.Power is all there and then some.Perhaps power of suggestion but today counter steering second gear in A DUALLY to keep it straight line was proof, I don't think so.

Wicked!!

I'm so happy I didn't panic and get rid of MY MAX.Power ,comfort ,looks, what a package.

Where is my Customer service letter?

Nope although it was considered,if he could sneak a Chebby repair in, My purchasing dealer here on the East Coast did a great job!

Eric should invest in some magnetic GMC emblems so he can work on Chebbies too.

Mac,
I am just waiting. No injectors yet. Everything else is in. I am hoping next week. I have been waiting for 5 weeks now. Glad you are happy with the repair. My dealer performing the work is right on top of it also. I can hardly wait to have my truck back to the level it was....It is going to be like having a new truck but at no additional cost.

All the people bailing out at some point may regret it. The cost of buying a new truck, coupled with the unfortunate depreciation of their current one makes, the entire thing about a $20K hit when you think about it. I am coming to the belief that it is even more economical to replace the motor down the road then to buy new, especially if the rest of the truck is in tip top shape. Spend $6K for new motor rather than losing even more buying new. I will have to see how my truck is when I get to 200K miles...

just hope your managment dont notice that big bowtie cut out in the headach rack. With the headach rack, cowl hood and fillsized whirly light bar and straight exhaust I dont think my truck blends in well amongst the rest of the GMC's there. You didnt use any GMC parts did you? I dont want to lose any HP):h

Furthur edit: 5 days??? Glad it aint taking Eric anywere near that long. So how many hours did this one actually take you? Not counting the time you spend on the phone and comp with me pestering you how my baby was doing....

My repair was over Turkey day and I did not rush them. Once I was convinced they were taking extreme good care of me, I wasn't concerned with time,I have plenty to drive besides my Max,not nearly as enjoyable but I'll get by.

To you nay sayers,I'm enjoying every minute, it's like a new truck! Long as I have a dealership and mechanic on my side, who cares what happens!

I'm happier then a pig in $hit, that's what matters!

As was I when I got my truck back after injector replacement. I still however have an unusual rough idle from time to time, but no smoke. However I've been closely tracking the rates and my number 8 is back near 3.0 again at idle and in park and seems to slowly be getting worse.

It's been a little over 10,000 miles since I had them replaced last May and i've got a long drive in February to Florida and back so I'll be closely watching them.

I'm staying 100% Optimistic on this one.Considering the Quality of workmanship I received, don't care!

I didn't mean to sound like a real bummer there. This is one of those quality issues where I'd rather have had Eric or Sid work on my truck, but it wasn't feasible. I did however make a short run last night and did some heavy hitting on the throttle(my 2 old son loves it) and checked my rates after words and they were actually better numbers. Probably a coincidence but maybe an occasional hard romp is good for our injectors.

i hope my luck does not change, but so far after 120k and no filtration upgrades, i have never had a injector problem, and looking at the balence rates yesterday, all looked excellant, i am sure happy i did not jump on the bandwagon as the other lly owners did, they sure are having their share of problems, and i wonder how long if ever they will make the same power, and their milage sucks too, all for a healthy 20k difference

I think Mackypoo has a $3000+ Tech II.

The required tool when modding a Dmax  ):h

Some of the power loaders, like the Predator I believe, read that stuff.

I'll tell you want, truck is strong, smoke is more in check and fuel MPG is up ,real up and I'm not babying her.

It was or must have been dumping fuel like no tomorrow and gaining nothing. My set of Performance injectors were not balanced courtesy of GM!
One thing is although, stock, it ran clean!

I still beg to differ a few things on Performance and Injector issues.

That's not funny I need six as we type!

Right now my fuel gauge just came off of 1/2 and I'm at 244 miles on the trip OD.I would be getting fuel tomorrow as I was only getting 9/10 MPG from the driving 80 % city I'm doing, stop light to stop light,Performance level Extreme! I usually pump 24 gallons at a fill!

Good stuff! :)
