I am putting a duramax in a 79 chevy and have all my parts. I have all the harnesses and computers hooked up and the engine will turn over but will not start. Can i marry the system together with efi or do i have to use the tech 2

Do you have the instrument cluster hooked up? Sounds like a security lockout. Try turning key on for 10 min and turn off. Do that 3 times and see if she'll wake up. Others with more knowledge will chime in if I'm wrong.:D Good luck GB

Could be a VAT's (vehicle anti theft) system issue. EFILive can disable VAT's.

i have the instrument panel and i tried to diable the security but it did not work. the engine is an 02 and all the components are from an 02 should the match or will i have to reprogramm the computers to work together
