this is to all the people that say 6.5's can't tow anything. this rig rolls across the scales at 38,000 lbs. i wouldn't give up my 6.5 for anything.

Nice, I have towed 12k on my hitch and gonna be getting my 5th wheel hitch this spring, then the weight will really be on.

I am a 6.5-er for life. Love being the so called under dog

Hey put www.activesuspension.com in rear and you will fix that sag I have the XXIIF on mine and sits dead level when hauling the backhoe IIRC about 2 hours to install and under $300, at one time they would allow you to send it back within 30 days if you didn't like it.

Improved handling & load carry you it doesn't impact ride much either

I don't know about the saving fuel claim, but rest of it works as advertised

yeah 19 ton does sound a lot better. the funny thing is there isn't anything special about my truck. i dont have a fancy intercooler or bigger turbo or even a chip. just the basic stuff, exhaust, guages, turbomaster and the optic bump.

the sagging back end is real attractive. the 93 has some helper springs, a total of 12 all together. i might take them off and put them on the 97. havent decided yet.

Turbine Doc, I have a 700 pound tailgate and 3 toolboxs in the bed of my K3500. It sags about an 1.5". Will that Active Suspension level the truck out, or does it just carry the load thats there better? I have viewed there website but didn't see anything about raising pre-existing loads a little.

yeah i know how you feel steiner we have two 6.5 on my dads farm and when we go places people always tell us we cant pull know real loads with them trucks. But then when we come through town with a 12 ton cattle trailer hooked behind them they dont talk anymore.

My truck with 4480# on back axle hooked to my GN trailer loaded to 18K# sits dead level as seen in garage pics (when it comes back up) you can see it. 4480# on rear is 1760# over empty bed axle wt 2760#

75+ flat ground 50-55 long grade but I run 70 ish no need to push it any faster, because at some point stopping is a requirement and trailer brakes & upgraded brakes help but momemtum is momentum and the faster you go more of it you have.

Hey Steiner? How did your truck do at the truck pulls? I was thinking about trying it just for fun, but so far the closest one has been about 3-4 hours away.

we have truck pulls here in ohio all the time during the summer. they sure are fun to watch but i don't know if i would do it again with the 97. maybe with the 93 and the 5-speed. i didn't do too bad, i was only 20 feet behind my two buddies hopped up cummins. my tranny slipped a little more than i liked and that makes me a little leary of doing it again.
