I drove 210 miles today in high winds and rain with an 18' all-steel car hauler with my 454SS on it plus a snap-on tool box in the SS bed. I had to drive my 7" of lift like a 10 second drag car with no traction the whole way. Going around semi's was tricky depending on the gusts. And it seemed to hurt my mileage pretty bad. Got 16 mpg on the way down there in good weather and 12 mpg on the way back.

I was kindof missing my stock height and tires :D

Looks to me like there wasn't enough tongue weight, raising the rear up..... been there done that
