I have an '04 2500HD D/A with 15K miles on it. Since 6K, the coils have not been pre-heating correctly due to a PCM failure. My dealership says that GM still has not found a correction for this problem and does not want to change out the PCM until they do. I have read that other dealerships are changing out the modules for customers with similar problems. Are the new modules that they are installing going to suffer the same failure? Does anyone familiar with this problem know if GM is close to finding a fix?
