heys guys, my LB7 is starting to act weird. i recently tried a superchips programmer stacked with a banks six gun. while driving, something went wrong and the truck shut off. pulled over, and the truck immediately turned on with no codes. a couple weeks later, i tried removing the superchips and said it needed an update. i also tried removing the six gun and the truck would not start, but put it back on and all was fine. later, at intermittent times, i noticed the truck would miss, and then run fine once again. lately, the miss has been getting worse, but it hasn't thrown any codes. i tried tuning the truck with hptuners, but the computer was locked. i was wondering what you guys thought. i figure it is just an issue in the computer. do yall think a dealer reflash would cure the problem? i don't think the injectors are going because it shows no smoke, the oil has no diesel in it, and i am still getting 22+ mpg on the highway. any help would be appreciated. oh yeah, the truck is now completely stock with no performance parts in my signature except for the exhaust, intake, and the banks ottomind.

Did you get the Superchips tune out of it?

If not, a reflash will eat that tune, and render the superchips tuner useless.

I know it says it is stock now, but you said you could not get the SC tune out...

the superchips tuner will only allow me to check codes, and i cannot remove it.

if the superchips wont even let you "detune" the truck, id say call superchips and tell them the story and see what they say.

You don't have much choice, if that tune stays you can't add anything else. $200 is cheaper than a new ECM

I would start with a call to Superchips, and ask them to walk me through the detune process, they know some tricks that might help.
That will not cost you.

i went ahead and got the truck reflashed at the dealer today. they charged me $35, but i still have the same problem. it still misses, and it sounds like the injectors are going out. they are going to check the balance rates out tommorow and go from there. they said they would replace them under the 200,000 mile warranty. after the reflash, it threw a P0700, P0843, and P0732 codes. i guess the transmission just had to relearn or something because i cleared them with the superchips and they have not come back. it is weird that i can still use the programmer to read codes but not use it to tune. i have read on here about the symptoms of the injector problems, but can someone who has experienced this problem tell me a little more?

I have thrown all those codes. I threw the 07 trans codes with tuner set too high. Tranny fail safed two different times. The programmer in my experience doesnt always clear everything. Mine reflashed by dealer, same symptoms, but they wont even talk to me about swapping injectors due to mods. They say my tuner causes the idles and smokes issues are related to programmer. I erased and returned mine to stock before dealer trip. My thread has some good replies on this issue. May be a start.

very odd. I have been getting the "Shift Range Inhibited" message. I have the 2815 Flashpaq with the Tow/Perf tune loaded... That being said my truck has sat for a week until about 10 mins ago on an incline. I didn't ge the "SRI" message, but got my first check engine light.

I used the Flashpaq to pull the DTCs, here is what was stored:

-P0841(Trans Fluid Pres/sens switch A CIRC Range/Perf)
-P0870 (Trans Fluid Pressure/Sens switch C CIRC Low)
-P083 (Trans Fluid Presure sens/switch C CIRC High)
-P0700(Tran CTRL Sys Error)
-P0030(H02s Heater CTRL CIRC Bank 1-Sens1)

Should I put my stock tune back into the rig, and take it in for warr service for the TSB:
Subject: Allison Transmission Delayed Engagement, Cold Hesitation, MIL Illuminated, DTCs P0701, P1709, P1711, P1713, P0841, P0843, P0847, P0870, P0872 or P0875 (Replace Torque Converter Relief Spring) #03-07-30-011D - (10/19/2005) ?

or put my truck back to stock, and keep this Superchips Flashpaq away from my Duramax?

My guess is that the Torque Converter Relief Spring TSB will be the fix for this, but ???
