It would be pretty hard to beat an auto. I think CPMac turned a 13.5 or so, but I can't remember. It's pretty hard to launch a six.

I'd agree. I haven't figured out the best way to launch yet. I tend to favor granny low and with 315's it's not a low as with 245's. Regardless you can't build boost in 1st or 2nd quick enough. Once you get rolling you can crank throught the gears fast enough not to loose too much boost.

If you get one of Craigs Dual Disc Pullers he will give you some tips on how to launch it for faster starts. I tried it (not on a drag strip) and it worked extremely well for me. It will not work at all for an OEM clutch/flywheel and it may not work for a Macs-Performance single disc kit. You need to contact Craig and discuss it with him. He is difficult to contact. Check his profile for phone number and just keep callin . . . and callin . . . .

I tried one of Craigs launches in 2wd and lost about 1/4 inch of tread. Fourth gear, full throttle, walk the clutch, and a burnout that would rival Earnhardt Jr.:ro) :ro) :ro)
