:( Had a fender bender on the way to work. City shut down a lane over a blind hill and I had a choice of moving over a furd or running over a trailer with a generator and a flashing arrow. I pushed the furd. First estimate was $1200  for a new furd fender flair etc. I haven't seen the estimate, but I bet there is a new fender on it. It really is not needed IMO. If that comes back the same on a second estimate at a stealership I will go ahead and turn it into my insurance. Between that and a rental it will be worth it. It looked like she was going to give me room to get over and then didn't.Censored Bottom line is it was her lane that I moved into which makes it my fault. I hate to say it, but I don't want to lie either and anything I say is just an excuss.
My truck might need a new drivers side rear fender flair as the edge is messed up a little. Anyone have a part number so I can see how much? I figure I can paint to match (LT) and install myself since there is no other damage to my truck. I think I can buff out the mark on the rear quarter panel and it didn't even touch the bumper. I shouldn't be out too much for me.
A guy at work said it sounded to him like she wanted to get hit. Maybe, but I can't prove it. I will tuck my dignity an pay up.
Bumped and bummed.
