ChrisF 12-02-2004, 03:31 PM I just installed the TransGo Kit in my Ally and now in Over Drive with my box on the higher settings I can Slip the converter... My Question is I know If you slip the trans It will go into Limp mode but I am guessing that It will not for the converter Slip? at about 75 I can rev the engine up to 3 grand and the truck slowly speeds up... I can't imagine that even if the converter was unlocked that it would allow that much rpm change, from about 2300 to 3000. Sure sounds like 5th gear slipping. Scanner definitely is necessary at this point. I would think that even if it doesn't light the MIL, it would have a code for 'undefined 5th gear ratio' stored. I can run it up to 7 and 7 with no slip at all when before I could limp the trans on 6 and 6....
