I just installed the TransGo Kit in my Ally and now in Over Drive with my box on the higher settings I can Slip the converter... My Question is I know If you slip the trans It will go into Limp mode but I am guessing that It will not for the converter Slip? at about 75 I can rev the engine up to 3 grand and the truck slowly speeds up... Guess its time to call Suncoast...

It will set a light if you slipped converter. Why didn't you do the converter at the same time?

For the lack on money at the time... ( I know you Play you Pay.) I do plan on it now... What could if be I have no check engine light or limp mode when It dose it??? and at 70 mph the converter should be locked in Tow mode or not right?

Perhaps you made a mistake when you did the transgo install?

Will it slip with stock power output? If so, you better put a pressure gauge on the trans and see what your line pressure is running.

Line pressure check will not tell you amount of converter slip. Scanner will.

My comment about checking line pressure was to see if it was in range after the kit was installed. I can't imagine that even if the converter was unlocked that it would allow that much rpm change, from about 2300 to 3000. Sure sounds like 5th gear slipping. Scanner definitely is necessary at this point. I would think that even if it doesn't light the MIL, it would have a code for 'undefined 5th gear ratio' stored.

It will not slip with the stock power... I have to have my TST box set on 9 and 9 to slip it.. 140 hp and aporx 360 trq... I can run it up to 7 and 7 with no slip at all when before I could limp the trans on 6 and 6....

If you put a scanner on it I bet you will find the converter slipping in 7. You may not feel it, but it is.

I am sure your right on that... I thought in lockup if the converter sliped it would limp the trans ... or atleast set codes.. I have neather.

You do realize that none of us has actually checked your truck. We could be wrong, you could be wrong in your discription. Should have thrown a code, or have a pending code. It's allways tuff diagnosing from afar.
