I had a problem like that with my camaro.
After I replaced the outer tierods, drag link and power steering box all most all of the slop was gone. Your Idler bar could be worn out, (mine was fine and I though for sure it would be worn out).
In my case the sloppyness was fairly evenly distributed between all those parts. The tie rods were the worst IMO. All the play in the drag link where the pitman arm connects wasn't helping any one and there was play inside the steering box plus the bottem seal was starting to go.

Could be your idler and pitman arm, this is the most common problem with GM ifs. It causes the toe to go in and out, which pulls with the crown of the road. It also causes wander. I just changed my idler and pitman, at 65,000mi, and it tracks much better. My '93 had the same problem when I traded it.
