Well, my wife and I finally made up our minds! I will be getting a Suncoast Level 4 trans installed this summer. Big question left, do we want to vacation in Florida or California? I guess it depends on whether MikeL or Suncoast makes me a better deal! ):h

Well, I thought about it. The reason for choosing the level 4 over the level 3 kit came down to the installation. Concerning the level 3, I don't know if I can physically do the install and the labor charge would be +$1,500. So, it makes sense to spend a few hundred more for a complete trans. Suncoast doesn't think I will be able to break the level 4 since I don't do sled pulls or dhra. So the $$ difference between level 4 and 5 will pay for the installation costs. :ro)

innards of the allison is pretty easy. bigest stumbling point for the do it yourselfer is getting the trans pulled and put back in.

What you say makes sense though. Good luck and have fun! Time to crank up the power.
