I just installed a Titan 45 gallon tank 2 weeks ago. Driving down the road the truck had a 1/4 of a tank left then all of the sudden it was reading empty. I went straight to the station and filled up. I put 38 gallons in. For some reason my gauge or the tank won't read that last 7 gallons or 1/4 of a tank. Whats the deal, anyone know. Is there a fix for this?

The tank is really, really long and a bit deeper than stock. My guess is that the fuel spreads level is lower than sender can read.

Well i could see it sloshing to the back of the fuel tank while driving, since its longer it has along ways to come back to the front (i presume that's where the fuel measure is...)
Is there a way you could 'shim' it in the back so that the fuel wants to come to the front as it's used??

definitely more then stock. i got 600 miles to the tank till it went from 1/4 to E and still had 7 gallons left.

Actually the fuel is measured at the rear of the tank.

The computer does not know that you put in a much larger tank. The fuel level sending unit it at about the same height as stock. There for it will trigger the low fuel level light at the same time as with the smaller tank but the new tank has twice the fuel left since it is alot longer.

The only fix i know is to change the tank size with hp tuners or efi live. I asked the dealership if they could do it with a Tech2 but they said no.
