Mine absolutely refuses to reset. No mat under the peddle. Any suggestions? Later! Frank

For me it seems the truck needs to set for a while. Get in, close the door, wait for the dome light to go off, then turn on the ignition and pump the pedal. Do it first thin in the morning. Well, that's what works for me anyway!

if ya have the dic you have to reset with the steering wheel controlls

I had to put a new throttle positioning switch on. Takes the whole footfeet assembly. About $80. Two bolts and a wire hookup. Easy to install.

Maybe it is like the Juice box where sometimes it won't make changes with the SES light on when you first turn the key on. Try starting the truck, then shut it off, but don't turn the key all the way off, then turn the key on. The SES light shouldn't be on now and then try the reset procedure. It's worth a shot anyway..

I have had to grab the pedal and pull on it pretty hard to bend the firewall bracket up away from the floor to achieve 100% APP on some trucks. It is usually good after that. Tech ASSistance suggests shimming the pedal assy up with washers to get the same results. Might give that a shot. It can also be reset w/a Tech2.

Mine reset fine until the last change, now it wont. I have the DIC, and it wont do it.

Frank remove the mat especially if you have those thick rubber ones so you get 100% throttle depression.Make sure all the Ign on lights are in the stable non flashing blinking mode.

Also don't rush. To the floor or the release. Keep doing it till the Oil Change light flashes.

Either that or find a Tech II,that's what I use.
