Im curious if anyone elses trailer plug in the back is loose??? Like the holder itself....I have to run an adaptor to 4 flat for my snowmobile trailer, and hooked it up tonight and my lights started to flickered as i pulled away and was pissed, thinking i hadnt fixed my light problem...but i got out to play w/the connection and noticed that the holder for the oval plug was all a$$ loose....i can move it all over the place twist it side to side, and back/forth...i see where it kinda looks like might lock on the metal bracket, but it looks pretty piss poor to me..This isnt normal is it? Anyone else run into a problem w/this??:(

Is your plastic plug loose or is the metal bracket it slips into loose?
The metal bracket is welded to the hitch so if that's loose then you need to reweld that.
The plastic plug itself fit's into the metal bracket with a quarter turn to lock it into place, so maybe the tabs on yours are broken off or worn out.
If the plug is no good you can just unplug the wiring harness from the plug (it has some kind of locking tab holding it on) and get a new plastic trailer plug from GM.
Probablly not to expensive.
Don't twist the wires too much so you don't pull any 1 wire out of the harness
Good Luck.

Yea, forgot to clarify it, its just plug itself, the metal bracket is fine. Ill look at it sometomrrow in the light, ubt i couldnt get it to lock at all...just slopped all around...
does the truck plastic plug, plug into the wiring harness right down in that same area, or is further away from that mess??
I know when i hooked to trailer to truck that it was tight so i wonder if i got a loose connection at the plug??
ill just have to investigate in the day...

The wiring harness plugs in right there at the back of the plastic trailer plug.
Just pull the plastic trailer plug out of the metal bracket, make sure that the wiring loom is loose so you can pull on it. Then look at the back of the plastic trailer plug for the tab connector that holds the wiring in place and disconnect it.
Look at the plastic plug to see if the tabs that hold it in place on the metal bracket are loose or worn or broken off.
If you switch to a aftermarket hitch like I did, you can just buy a new plastic trailer plug that works with the new metal bracket on the new hitch and plug's in to the factory wiring harness. Nothing to rewire or mess with strictly plug and play :)

Good Luck Diesel Dragon

Well i got away from the farm early tonight, and ran into the dealer pulled it out and off took it in and put it next to a new one....yep the one big tab on the bottom was completly gone....pretty much explains that....was pricey tho...almost 58 bucks...Good friends w/the owners so i got it at cost, still like 44-45 bucks...oh well
