: 4,172 mi trip
Lonestar06 10-16-2007, 11:31 PM My son and I recently drove our '06 LBZ EC on a 4,172 mi trip from Lubbock, TX to an Island off the coast of Bellingham, Wa, and back. We were not towing, just loaded down with personal stuff. The trip up was made in aproximately 30 hrs, the only stops made were for fuel and a couple of meals.
I was extremely pleased with the 20.42 hc mileage we got through most kinds of driving conditions, including rain, snow, high wind, and cold temps. The worst tank we had was a cold night in the mountains of Idaho and Oregan, 17.9, and the best was across Wyoming on the return trip of 22.8.
Fuel prices were pretty consistent around 2.89 - 2.99 through Texas, NM, Colo, Wyo, and Idaho, but Oregan was 2.55 and Wash needs to kiss you after a fill-up, 3.29.
All in all, this is by far the best truck we have ever owned, and the addition of the PPE tuner simply makes it a blast to drive, and every now and then the extra power comes in real handy.
8100 Power 10-16-2007, 11:36 PM Great info. What level did you run your tuner on?
jeffster 10-16-2007, 11:44 PM Good luck you still aren't here. Filled up yesterday and it was $3.49/Gal. Today is it $3.57/Gal. Wtf? It sucks to buy diesel in Washington right now. :(
I just bought a new diesel tractor last week. Maybe I should have bought one that runs on gold or diamonds instead. It probably would be cheaper.

Hey, thanks for visiting. I wish there was something we could do about that. It's 3.48-3.53/gal. right now in Pullman. At least, that's what I saw two days ago. Sounds like you had an awesome trip though. My dad and I took his LMM down to Rno and back this summer, avg'd 20+ mpg round trip, bone stock.
hemikilr 10-17-2007, 05:44 PM WOW, I guess 3.09 in minnesota is not so bad after all. That hurts to fill up at 3.50+ per gallon.
thejdman04 10-17-2007, 07:22 PM nice info
