I have access to some new holland weights from a nearby farm pretty cheap and was wondering if they would fit a weight bar made for international weights? I knew international and john deere were different but was unsure of the other tractor makes and if they were manufactured in the same way. Thanks alot

As for the thickness of the bar, I've used both 5/8" and 1/2". The 5/8" is tight on a few of them, and that could probably be taken care of with a hand grinder. My other bar is 1/2" and they tend to hang a little loose, although I made this one 6" wide (versus 3" on the other). With the 6" width, the weights will only go on and off at just the right angle, which is good on one hand since they'll probably never fall off. On the other hand, taking them on and off is a little trickier.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is, a 5/8" x 4" or 5" wide would be perfect for IH weights.
