Was doing some work under the hood of my truck. May have disconnected something accidentally. I have thoroughly checked and everything is connected. My check engine light is on. I don't want to go to my dealer to clear the code. Is there a way that can clear the code at home? (ie disconnecting the battery?)

nope, head to Autozone or similer and they should be able to check it for you at no charge. Might be on for a reason....

Shouldn't the SES light go off after a few start cycles when everything is being detected as ok? It doesn't make sense to me if it throws the light and then doesn't go out even after the problem has been corrected. Is this the way it works?
