Ok so what is the correct type of fluid (right now) for the transfer cases on the 2500 and 3500 duramax trucks with manual shift transfer case?. Is it still dex 3 or has a bulletin been released from gm requiring a new fluid.

I guess that is one of the items going around about the fluid. The only reason i can think of right now about not using dex 6 is the syn fluid may react or disolve the the vent tube on the xfr case. Seems there are quite a few people that think dex 6 is backwards compatible with all dex 3 applications. thanks for the info.
