It seems right after I installed my new ECM from Westers (version 2 tune for me) my truck started sounding different. I don't know if there is anything in the ECM programming that can make a truck sound different of if it is just coincidence.

Being a sound it's hard to describe. It's not like anything touching something else. It sounds like it is definitely coming from the engine. It's most noticeable when acclerating or cruising at slower speeds. Not really noticeable at idle and can't really hear it at highway speeds. Kind of like a few knock or rattle on a gasser.

No smoke, no real loss of power. MPG might be down a little.

Any ideas? Things I should check? I know this is pretty vague.

Well westers is performance based so i would think they changed the timing a bit. That will make it sound different.

why dont call lyndon and talk to him

I've sent my old computer back to him. Today I e-mailed him to see if he could re-program the TCC lock up points and leave everything else the same and send it back to me. I haven't got a response yet. I might call him tomorrow.
