I just wanted to hear some input on the extra power of the 605. Can ya tell any differance?+/-.......

The PCM programming is the same between 04-05, no changes in hard parts, so the diference is on PAPER.

My father has an 04.5 with just over 7,000. I received my 05 about a month ago and have just clocked over 3,000 on it. SOTP meter says there's no difference at all! I'd have to agree with Max Payne, it's just a paper difference.

i agree i drove one and i could not feel any difference and a friend of mine works at a chevy dealer and he said all diagnostics and parts were the same as far as he could tell

Even know the parts are the same dont mean the brains are the same. Look at what you can do by changing the tuning slightly on these.. add 200 hp with a computer mod. I would bet that they really did bump it, but are you really gonna notice it? Doubt it. From 590 or whatever it is to 605 isnt anything. But, like mentioned. they are playing then numbers game that the Big 3 is caught up in.

Has anyone felt a SOP difference between 520 and 590 (LB7 to LLY). That should be a difference. Geo.
