Don't know too much about the additives and have never used them. But was wondering if there are any additives out there that help out fuel mileage in the winter months due to the winter fules. If so, what are the prefered additives that most use or which would you guys suggest. Thanks in advance.

As I understand it, winter-blend fuel has less energy available, therefore the lower mileage. Nothing can be done to "fix" it.
Also, winter-blend fuel seems to have lower lubricity. This can be treated with fuel additive.

I believe Stanadyne and maybe Racor are the only 2 additives recommended by GM.
Check out there web sites, and see if they have any dealers in your area or get it from one of the vendors here.

Hbruns is right about "Luplicity" I use stanadyne and so far no probs. GM is supposed to put out a bulettin regarding lack of luplicity in fuel. They are waiting for a product to endorse. I'm experimenting with stanydyne, and checking my injector balance rates every month to see if it keeps the injectors operating efficiently.
A little history, I had all 8 injectors replaced at 8500 miles.

If i remember correctly they already did put out a memo and Stanadyne and Racor are the only 2 that they reccomend
There was a link to the bullitin somewhere here but I can't find it now.
Anyone know where it is?
