Lately my trans is shifting really hard. Especially 1-2, 2-3. Never limped it but did run the 225 setting for a couple weeks. No towing, no burnouts, just spirited driving and passing the occasional moron on the hwy while blowing smoke at him. I reset the trans with my PPE but it still shifts way too hard compared to when it was new. I've only got 20k on her right now. Feels like an old TH350 with a mean shift kit in it! I like firm shifts but not when it's not supposed to. Any ideas why it's doing this? Looks like a dealer visit is in my future.

Mine was doing the same thing. Cleaned the AFE filter and it cleared right up. Not sure what the connection was, but it seemed to work.

It sounds like it is still in the learning mode.

your TCM is letting you know that its having a hard time controling clutch packs from slipping so its raised the line pressure to clap the packs harder . Running any tune over 100 hp added on a stock trans will long term cost you about $ 4000 in trans work .

Changed the spin on and fuel filter yesterday. It helped some but not completely. Might do the air filter next. Filter gauge is showing some restriction but not all the way. Had some sludge looking crap on the magnet but nothing looked or smelled burnt. Probably have over 1k miles on current tune since dropping it down. I'll be doing some light towing next weekend so will see how it does. If nothing changes, the dealer it goes. I'll have to rescue the cat out of the tree first!
